dedicated to creativity
rimric folio was first launched in 2000 by its Editor, M.R.M. Parrott, and after a demo issue, debuted with the Spring 2001 newsprint issue, later an online "zine". rimric folio has been one of a number of small zines offering both a critical subtlety and a creative promise. rimric folio had become an open-content book site, helping bring exposure to small press titles with pages for lesser known books and publications, free press releases, authors, and discusion forums.
GetWiki.net, although originally a separate website with an encyclopedic focus, has been a companion website to rimric.com, running on similar software, also known as "GetWiki", a platform which was used for the "Plug", which powered a previous version of rimric.com. Both now run updated versions of the "SOHO", "GetWiki", and "Plug" PHP/MySQL software, and operate as sister sites. GetWiki was founded early in 2004 as an open encyclopedia for the Arts and Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and has become an innovative social networking blog and discussion forum with wiki content.
rimric.com (rimric folio, ISSN 1531-4782) is a unique "webzine" focusing on non-mainstream topics and creations in letters. "folio" (2001-2004) included the fine arts, cinema, music, and culinary arts, with a highlight on ideas. rimric has always had an emphasis on singular content and issues, with the editorial direction being to ask the right questions, to be open to new and different things.
